The Northern Pacific Class A is one of the most beautiful of the NP locomotive. A very important locomotive to the NP, the A Class went through many changes. The A-3s had a 6 wheel truck coal tender. The SP&S got some of these and converted them to Oil. One of these remains in excursion service today, the SP&S #700.

The next in the series of Northerns were the A-4 Class. These were again coil burners but with all weather cabs and higher capacity centipede tenders. The A-4s pulled passenger trains and some had grey painted boilers until the end of their service. The A-4 also had a large cast pilot and Mars light. The last in the series of Northerns was the A-5, with a slated pilot and black boiler. Sunset models is bringing all 4 of these version to HO with Sunset Sound and DCC ready wiring. Get ready for a real treat. We need your reservation to determine our quantities, so don't be shy.

Get your “Electroburgers”. From Milwaukee to Chicago at 100mph. The “Electroliner” was a genuine advancement to interurban transportation. With air conditioned cars, a Tavern and a Dining Car,146 people could travel in complete comfort. The “Electroliner” was operated from 1941 to 1963 and now resides at the Illinois Railroad Museum. The total length of the 4 articulated cars is 140 foot or 19 inches HO Scale.

Sunset Models is proud to bring you this reproduction in stunning detail with fully lighted interiors, flexible diaphragms between the articulated cars and a precision power system. Designed to operate on 22" Radius HO Scale track, you too can relive the “Route of the Electroliner”.
